Eddy Rommel, the Managing Director and Founder of the company, is a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine and Master in Animal Production from the University of Liège, Belgium. He also graduated in Laboratory Animal Science from the CIAL (Centre d’Information sur l’Animal de Laboratoire, Veterinary School of Lyon, France) and in Business Administration (EPM, Belgium).
From 1988 to 2002, Eddy Rommel was Associate Director at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, Belgium, where he was responsible for the in-vivo quality control of vaccines and for regulatory affairs. Previously he was research assistant at the University of Liege.
Eddy Rommel is an active member of several professional national and international associations related to the use of laboratory animals (BCLAS, AFSTAL, ESLAV). He is the Chair of the Working Group on Primates of EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations) and of the biomedical research platform of the association of Belgian pharmaceutical industries (Pharma.be). He is also an ad hoc specialist for AAALAC International (Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care).
